Pre-Marathon Dinner Frid 11/2/12?

Postby Hoss » Tue Oct 02, 2012 4:30 pm

Are folks into having a pre-marathon dinner on Friday 11/2/12?

In the past few years we have gone for Thai food because all the Italian restaurants fill up and can be more demanding about the menu and pricing for large groups. Personally, my feeling is if you are running the marathon that weekend, then the less stress the better - so if we can plan something casual and easy, so much the better. If you have an opinion, please post away. Maybe we can figure something out in the next week or so.
I didn't surrender, but they took my horse and made him surrender. They have him pulling a wagon up in Kansas I bet.

I posted an invite on "the Facebook" for a non-Thai premarathon dinner at

Lili's Asian Cuisine on 3rd Ave between E84th and E85th

at

6:30, Friday 11/02/12

If you are not on the facemonkey you can always RSVP here or to me in some other format or interface. Please do so by Monday 10/29 though.

I'll be there to protest monopolization of credit card points by certain vested interests. :frog:

I'll try to make it, but I know I can't be there before 6:45 pm, 7pm is more likely.

Lili's Asian Cuisine
3rd Ave near 85th street
6:30 pm

It seems the consensus is that we should come together as New Yorkers and celebrate our resilience by going through with our planned pre-marathon dinner. The group seems to feel that our dinner will not be misinterpreted as insensitive to people's along the waterfront.

I know that Phyllis and marlon sayeth that they won't be joining us and Jud's status has shifted to a maybe / late. Carlo and Rich are in.

Given the events of this past week, just drop me a message and confirm if you are coming and if you are bringing anyone. Feel free to bring someone since we have lost a couple bodies, just let me know.

Thanks,

Warren
